Hi, my name is Douglas Page. As the principal and creative director of the PageCrafts group, I personally oversee all projects we produce – to ensure it meets the standard of excellence I have demanded throughout my career.
I have a very unique and valuable set of skills – and a wealth of experience – that can be very valuable to you.
For decades, I've been a freelance copywriter, designer and photographer - creating photographs, designing graphics, writing copy and developing content for websites – so by now I know how the pieces fit together – and what looks right.
We've also worked in, and developed ads and marketing materials for, a few specialized industries – Travel/Hospitality, Financial Services and Medical Technology.. We have a hands-on understanding of those markets and their technical terms – which means I know how to write for them – in a way that someone without that specialized knowledge could not.
My formal training began at university (CSULB), where I studied art, graphic design, photography, filmmaking, screen writing and journalism – graduating with a BA in art & photography.
After graduation, I apprenticed with a commercial photographer in Hollywood and later a master portrait photographer. More recently, I've had extensive training in the latest and best practices of digital copywriting. And more importantly – I've gained an invaluable wealth of knowledge and experience in the school of life.
Experience is the best teacher. There is no substitute for it. You can't order it on Amazon or have Uber Eats deliver it. You have to earn it – the old-fashioned way – day-by-day, project-by-project, year-by-year. Once you have it – it's priceless.
I've been a professional photographer for nearly 40 years, owned and managed an advertising agency for 15 years and have been writing copy and scripts, designing graphics and creating marketing materials, logos, and advertising for over 30 years - and for the last 15 years, have focused on designing and creating content for websites and online marketing.
I've done work for all types of companies, from corporate conglomerates to basement businesses. One thing all of them had in common – CUSTOMERS – and they all wanted more.
